Samantha Linnett is a public relations and public affairs professional. She currently serves as the Innovation Design Lead for the City of Syracuse's Office of Accountability, Performance, and Innovation (i-team). She works with her team to research, develop, implement and analyze policy initiatives for the City. Samantha uses her communications and design skills to perform community outreach and manage stakeholder relations, as well as assist in project management for initiatives to address some of the city's greatest challenges, such as infrastructure, economic opportunity, housing stability, and public engagement.
Prior to starting with the i-team, Samantha studied at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She graduated in May 2016 with her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Public Policy.
While in school Samantha interned with Syracuse Northeast Community Center, APCO Worldwide, the Office of Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand, the Saratoga Race Track and Eric Mower + Associates. She served on the executive boards of two student organizations, the W.P. Ehling Chapter of PRSSA and 'Cuse Spot, a community outreach and volunteering club for Syracuse University students. She also worked on two Hill Communications accounts, the student-run public relations firm on campus.
Samantha is passionate about the fields of public relations, public affairs and government relations. She plans to continue to be a life-long learner in these fields and continue to grow both professionally and personally in her public service work. When not working, Samantha enjoys traveling and exploring, cooking, wine tasting, reading a good book (or attempting to write one) and spending time with family and friends.
